I’ve been a chronic overthinker my whole life. I worried about what I did in the past, what’s to come in the future, the mistakes I made, the mistakes I might make, what people would think, what might happen if ___, and on and on it went.
What I realized is that overthinking kills your happiness.
Always living in the past or future and not in the present moment causes you to miss out on the life that you have.
The past only exists as a memory. It is no longer real.
And the future only exists as a thought because it hasn’t happened yet.
You can’t control either one. One has already happened and no longer exists and the other doesn’t exist yet.
For the future, you can attract things to you. And by overthinking leading to negative thoughts, you’ll most likely start to attract the very things you’re worried will happen.
I knew I had to come up with an overthinking solution to keep these unwanted thoughts under control and start living my life.
I came up with this trick to stop overthinking as a remedy for thinking too much and causing myself stress and anxiety.
By using this overthinking activity I no longer worry about things I’ve done in the past or what’s going to happen in the future because I can calm my mind and get in the present to live my life now within seconds.
What is overthinking a sign of?
Overthinking is a sign of a lack of certainty, confidence and trust in ourselves and the universe. People constantly want to control everything and spend so much time dwelling on the past or worrying about the future that they miss out on life right now.

Why does The Triple Switch Method work?
By tapping your left temple and saying “switch” out loud, you are interrupting your overthinking pattern and noticing that you are actually overthinking.
This puts a stop to overthinking instantly.
And then bringing yourself back to the present moment also shuts off your overactive mind that’s focusing on negative thoughts you don’t need to be thinking about.
Saying one thing you’re grateful for grounds you in the moment and makes you appreciate the actual life you’re living instead of dwelling on the past or worrying about the future.
You’ll feel more certain about life in the present and less worried about the past and future.
How to stop overthinking in the morning using The Triple Switch Method
If you have negative thoughts as soon as you wake up that give you terrible anxiety in the morning, this law of attraction technique will help you reduce morning anxiety and start your day off in a positive vibe.
When you wake up in the morning and notice that you’re starting to overthink or think negative thoughts, tap your left temple three times and say “switch” aloud. Then focus on getting present in the moment and say one thing (or more) that you’re grateful for in that very moment no matter how big or small.
This will not only change your focus at that moment and cause you to stop overthinking but it will also train your brain over time to stop overthinking in the morning when you wake up.
After 21 days of doing this, you’ll notice you’re breaking your morning overthinking pattern that causes you anxiety. Your days will be more positive and you’ll start attracting more positive things into your life.
How to stop overthinking at night that causes you sleeplessness using law of attraction
If you can’t shut off your brain before bedtime and you want to reduce your racing thoughts at night, you can use The Triple Switch Method to relax your mind to get to sleep.
I recommend using positive affirmations before you go to bed to start calming your mind and slow down your overactive brain. I have a whole list of affirmations for overthinkers here.
But even after saying affirmations, sometimes you can’t control your overthinking at night. If you notice your thoughts wandering into overthinking when you’re trying to sleep, tap your left temple three times and say “switch” (whisper if someone is sleeping next to you). And then bring yourself to the present moment and say one thing you feel grateful for right now.
Do this every time you notice your mind heading into overthinking at night. This works when you’re trying to fall asleep at bedtime or if you wake up in the middle of the night and can’t fall asleep because your mind won’t turn off.
How often should you use this law of attraction method?
Use The Triple Switch Method every time you notice yourself overthinking or your thoughts starting to turn negative. You can use it as many times a day as you need to. It will only enhance your life and attract positive things to you like a magnet.
After using this LOA exercise for a few weeks, you’ll start to rewire your brain to stop the negative thinking and turn your thoughts to positive automatically.
